Toy cleaning is not child’s play
Deep cleaning means that you leave no stone unturned when it comes to
maintaining a clean environment for you and your family. There are many valid reasons
to keep your home clean, and one of the most important reasons is because we
seek to keep our children as healthy as possible. We like to think of time of
the year as the period when we are most likely to come down with a cold or the flu.
However, any parent who has toddlers and primary aged children knows that young
children are constantly dealing with colds and flu symptoms.
Consider the following tips to keep your children’s toys clean:
·
Use a baby wipe to clean off toys that hit the
ground or floor while you are out and about.
·
Consider using a steam cleaner to steam and sanitize
toys, play pens, car seats, and high chairs.
·
Wipe clean toys regularly with a disinfectant
wipe.
·
Baby and toddler toys should be cleaned at least
once weekly.
·
Older children’s toys can be cleaned monthly,
unless they are frequently shared with younger children.
·
Plush toys should be steamed or laundered about
4 times per year.
